Reset the home first. Then keep it that way.
Upkeep Standard is recurring residential cleaning for Chicago's northwest suburbs. We start with a deep clean to bring your home to a true baseline, then return on a biweekly or monthly rhythm — same team, same checklist — so it stays there.

Deep clean once. Standard clean forever after.
A home can't be maintained at a level it has never reached. So we get it there first, then hold it.
- 01 · Visit one
The reset — a deep clean
Your first visit is longer and more detailed than the ones that follow. We work through the build-up that a normal week never touches: baseboards and trim, clean appliances, shower and tub grout, window sills, vents and fixtures, and the corners that get skipped. The point is to bring the whole home to one honest baseline. Because it takes more time and more hands, the first visit is priced above a standard visit.
- 02 · Every visit after
Standard upkeep
Once the home has been reset, recurring visits hold it there. Every standard visit follows the same room-by-room checklist below — kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, floors and finishing touches — so nothing drifts and nothing gets negotiated visit to visit. Most homes settle into biweekly; monthly works when the household is lighter.
- 03 · Over time
A steady standard
The same trusted team returns on the same rhythm, so they learn your home — which surfaces need care, where your family actually lives, what you'd rather we leave alone. As the season turns we rotate extra detail attention through the house so the deep-clean baseline never slips backward.

Choose your cadence
A rhythm that suits your home.
Weekly
Busy households, pets, or larger families where the home never gets a quiet week.
Biweekly
Our most common rhythm. Enough frequency that a visit is upkeep, not catch-up.
Monthly
Lighter households or smaller homes that mostly need a reliable reset each month.
What's tended each visit
Unhurried, thorough care.
Kitchens & surfaces
Counters, backsplash, sink and faucet, stovetop and oven front, and the inside of the microwave — the places that show wear first.
Bathrooms & fixtures
Toilet, sink, tub and shower scrubbed, mirrors and counters wiped, trash emptied and the can itself cleaned.
Floors & rugs
Swept, vacuumed, and mopped throughout, including stairs and the edges and corners that get skipped.
Dusting & detail work
Furniture, shelves, lamps, sills, light switches and doorknobs — dusted by hand rather than passed over.
Bedrooms & living areas
Nightstands and dressers dusted, pillows and throws arranged, coffee and side tables wiped, floors finished.
Finishing touches
Trash reset, glass cleared, and a final walk-through so the home looks settled when you come back to it.
Our product system
The right product for the right surface.
Upkeep Standard brings the professional products, microfiber towels, and tools needed for each visit. Rather than relying on one cleaner for every room, our team selects products based on the surface, the type of buildup, and the result needed. This helps us clean more effectively while protecting the materials inside your home.
Our cleaners are trained on product use, surface compatibility, proper dwell time, and the combinations that must never be mixed.

Glass and mirrors
Zep Glass Cleaner
Used on mirrors, glass, and appropriate high-gloss surfaces where a streak-free finish is needed.
General surfaces
Lysol Multi-Surface Cleaner
Used on many washable household surfaces and common touch points when appropriate.
Kitchens and grease
Zep Heavy-Duty Degreaser
Used for stubborn grease and buildup on compatible kitchen surfaces.
Bar Keepers Friend
Used selectively on compatible sinks, cookware, fixtures, and mineral or surface buildup.
Bathrooms
Zep Bathroom Cleaner
Used on compatible tubs, showers, tile, fixtures, and soap-scum buildup.
Zep Acidic Toilet Bowl Cleaner
Used only inside compatible toilet bowls and according to safety procedures.
Disinfecting and stain treatment
Clorox Clean-Up
Used selectively on bleach-safe surfaces when stain removal or disinfecting is appropriate. Bleach-based products are never mixed with acids, ammonia, vinegar, toilet cleaner, or other incompatible chemicals.
Floors and general cleaning
Fabuloso, Pine-Sol, or an approved floor cleaner
Chosen by flooring type, finish, and manufacturer guidance. Hardwood, stone, laminate, and specialty floors are treated on their own terms.
Specialty surface care
Zep Vinegar Cleaner
Used only on compatible surfaces where a vinegar-based cleaner is appropriate.
Calcium, lime, and rust remover
Used selectively for mineral buildup on compatible surfaces.
Orange Glo
Used selectively on compatible finished wood surfaces.
Professional tools and color-coded towels
- HEPA or professional vacuum
- Flat mop
- Grout brush
- Detail brush
- Microfiber towels
- Blue — Glass
- Yellow — Kitchens

Safety comes before speed.
We follow label instructions, use protective equipment when required, and never mix incompatible chemicals. Before using a specialty product, our team considers the surface material, finish, ventilation, and manufacturer guidance.
Never mixed
- Bleach and vinegar
- Bleach and ammonia
- Bleach and toilet cleaner
- Bleach and acidic products
- Oven cleaner and other cleaning products
Have a preferred product, fragrance sensitivity, delicate finish, or manufacturer-specific care instruction? Let us know before your visit. We can document reasonable product preferences for your home, and you're welcome to leave out a product you'd rather we use.
How we work
The details behind the standard.
Vetted and insured
Every cleaner is background-checked and covered before they ever enter a home.
The same team
You get familiar faces on a familiar rhythm, not a rotating roster of strangers.
Predictable windows
